Anthony Guerne is a paramedic from Long Island, New York. Just a few days after his 18th birthday he was sworn in as a member of a local volunteer fire department. That began his lifelong passion of helping people. Life moves fast and it wasn’t until he became a volunteer did he really truly understand his calling. Progressing quickly from EMT to paramedic, his career in New York City began. After almost 20 years on the truck in “the city”, and a back surgery later, he pursued a career in education. Becoming a simulation specialist for the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, education, and learning became what drove him. When he was a young boy, his mother introduced him to the world of books and reading. That led to a love of writing. Writing was always a past time that he used to sooth his own emotional soul, and rarely was it shared. One blog, and now a book later, sharing his writing in all ways has been what drives him. Anthony lives on Long Island with his wife and two children. He plays golf as often as possible and is die hard NY Rangers fan. He has a blog, and a podcast is in the working stages.
